Stone Cottage Farm Goat Milk Soap.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. ~Psalms 51:10
After much experimentation we have come up with what we consider the perfect recipe of natural ingredients for our goat milk soap. We don't use any artificial colorings in our soap, and use only pure essential oils for scent.
About our Soap
Our soap starts with fresh, whole goat milk, which is combined with other all natural ingredients to produce long lasting, gentle soap with a nice lather.
Our “basic” soaps contain a maximum of eight ingredients - up to three kinds of fat, goat milk, lye, sometimes honey, 100% pure essential oil for scent, and sometimes some dried herbs to create a nicely decorated edge on the bars. We cut each batch into beefy, 4 oz bars.
For our hand milled soaps, we start by using our handmade, plain basic soap as a base, which we grate by hand, and remelt. Then we add 100% pure essential oil(s) for scent, and sometimes honey or oatmeal, or other all natural ingredients, before pouring into fancy molds to produce 2 oz bars.
Our all natural goat milk soap is excellent for all skin types, including sensitive skin. A sought-after “beauty secret” of beautiful ladies, a
soothing, calming face wash for teens, a gentle yet strong cleanser for the grimiest farm hand, goat milk soap is a gentle, effective cleanser without all the chemicals you would find in commercial soap or cleansers.
Every batch is lovingly and carefully made, inspected, and tested. Our own goat milk soap is the only soap we use!
Disclaimer: While we, and to date everyone who has tried our soap, has found it to be very gentle and effective, we must add that of course everyone's skin is unique, and we encourage you to exercise your own best judgement before using any product scented with essential oils. Some individuals can experience sensitization to essential oils. We like to practice moderation ourselves, both in the amount of the oils we use in our soap recipes, and by varying the soaps we use regularly so as not to overuse one particular essential oil.
